A che tipo di freddo è pensata la Patriot Jacket?

È la giacca più avanzata di Helikon, quella da tirare fuori quando fa sul serio freddo: un pile pesante da 380 g/m² con isolamento termico elevato, pensato per l'uso tattico anche in ambienti climatici estremi. Io la scelgo per l'inverno vero, quando un pile medio non basta e voglio uno strato che scaldi da solo.

Com'è vestibilità e taglia?

Taglio dritto e comodo come tutta la linea, così lo strato sotto ci sta senza costrizioni. Per orientarti sulla taglia misura torace, manica e schiena: la M, per esempio, copre un torace da 120 cm con lunghezza schiena di 75. Ha maniche un po' più lunghe, dettaglio che apprezzi quando alzi le braccia. Se sbagli misura, contattami: la sostituzione è gratuita.

Scalda tanto ma so gestire il calore?

Sì, ed è la cosa ben fatta. Con 380 g/m² e 1205 grammi scalda parecchio, ma per non cuocerti ha le cerniere di ventilazione sotto le ascelle: le apri quando ti muovi e sfoghi il calore in eccesso. In più il cappuccio regolabile con laccetto e visiera ti ripara la testa dagli elementi. Io apro le ventole in salita e le chiudo in sosta: così resto caldo senza sudare.

Quante tasche ha e a cosa servono?

Tante, sei in tutto, ed è pensata per portarci addosso l'attrezzatura. Due tasche sulle maniche più una con cerniera sul polso sinistro, due grandi sul petto con occhielli per i cavi, anelli a D e slot per i device, e una grande tasca passante sulla schiena per aggiungere carico. Io ci distribuisco telefono, radio e le piccole cose senza doverle cercare nello zaino.

Va bene solo per l'outdoor o anche per l'uso tattico?

È nata proprio per l'uso tattico: ha i pannelli in velcro sulle maniche per le ID patch, i rinforzi sui gomiti per lavorare in condizioni dure e la tasca passante posteriore da operatore. Detto questo, il taglio resta portabile anche fuori contesto se ti piace il genere. Io la considero il livello sopra rispetto a un pile normale: più calda, più attrezzata, più robusta.

Come la mantengo nel tempo?

Segui le istruzioni sull'etichetta: lavaggio non oltre i 30°, niente candeggina, non stirare, e questa la puoi lavare anche a secco, ma niente asciugatrice. I gomiti rinforzati reggono l'usura che di solito rovina prima un capo, e il poliestere di qualità non infeltrisce facilmente. Io la tratto con riguardo perché è un capo importante, e in cambio mi accompagna inverno dopo inverno.
