GREASE OR OIL?

There is much discussion about this eternal dilemma in shooting ranges around the world, everyone has their own secret recipe. I rely on technique and experience.

I recommend using grease on the slide guides of semi-automatics and where there are long friction strokes that would quickly consume the oil. For example, on the bolt of AR-15s.

I certainly recommend it if you want to lubricate your gun less often because it tends to last longer than oil.

WHEN DO YOU NOT RECOMMEND USING FAT?

The real discriminant is the temperature at which the weapon is used . At very low temperatures the grease solidifies and makes the mechanics much less fluid. On the other hand, during the summer it's a fairy tale!

WHAT DOES CERAMICS HAVE TO DO WITH IT?

There are thousands of ceramic materials in the world and most are abrasive. About twenty are very lubricating. The ceramic particles will clog the pores on the surface of the metal allowing a smoothness never experienced before!
Ceramic is also an excellent material due to its heat-resistant properties.
