HyFin uses a specially made improved adhesive gel to create a superior seal in extreme conditions.
In fact, it is specifically designed to overcome adverse conditions in austere environments where the victim may be covered in blood, sweat, hair or other environmental contaminants.

Although they are both for the treatment of an open pneumothorax and the prevention of tension pneumothora , the HyFin Individual model is sold in a single unit package and has no vents , while the HyFin Vent model is sold in two individually sealed units , vented entrance and exit, and has three vents.
