DC521

The DC521 is a benchtop stone that combines a diamond and ceramic sharpener to meet all your sharpening needs.
Made of a high-quality diamond stone and a special synthetic sapphire ceramic , it has the advantage that even when worn it will continue to maintain its flat shape, which is essential when sharpening knives!

The diamond part works very quickly and is good for quickly regaining an edge for daily activities, the ceramic part on the other hand, working more slowly will give a smoother edge , like that of a razor!

This stone is among the best for treating knives and larger tools like chef's knives or ice skates!

MAINTENANCE

The DC4 does not require any lubrication, but you should clean it every now and then with warm water and liquid soap.

SOME TRICKS FOR BETTER SHARPENING

For dull knives, use the diamond stone to restore the original blade, and deburr lightly with the ceramic stone for a razor edge.
No oil or water: place the blade on the stone and move it in a circular motion, lifting the back approximately as much as the thickness of the blade.

THE MARKER TRICK

Color the edge with a marker , watching where the color is removed as you sharpen will give you a visual indicator of your progress!

CHECK THE THREAD

To check the edge , place the knife on your nail and pull lightly ; if it cuts, it is sharp enough for most tasks.

LEATHER STROP

You can use a leather strop to sharpen the edge of your knife , such as the back of the DC4 case which works well for this purpose too !
Together with an abrasive compound it works really well to give a finishing touch to the edge of the knives!
