CENTERFIRE BORE GUIDE

These guides allow for precision alignment of the cleaning rods with the rifle barrel and prevent damage to both the gun and the rod , making this a necessary tool for proper cleaning and protection of rifles.
They are color-coded for easy caliber identification and fit most centerfire and bolt action rifles.

Each guide is made from high quality CNC machined components ensuring long life.
The solvent holes have wider openings for easier application and a tapered rear access to facilitate brush alignment.
The replaceable, molded rubber cones are solvent resistant and soft enough to provide an excellent seal and completely prevent detergent leakage.
These guides, designed to fit both short and long guns , finally feature an adjuster that locks securely when in place.

HOW ARE THEY USE?

1) Remove the shutter following the manufacturer's instructions.
2) Loosen the brass bolt collar lever and slide the rubber cone (front end) of the barrel guide through the receiver until it is properly seated in the chamber.
Press lightly on the barrel guide to seat the rubber cone into the chamber.
3) Slide the bolt collar forward until the brass locking lever is aligned with the recess. Rotate the locking lever down into the recess and tighten it against the barrel guide tube. At this point, the guide tube should not move forward or backward.
NOTE: On rifles without a locking lever recess, it may be necessary to remove the brass locking lever and slide the bolt collar forward until the locking lever threaded hole is visible in the ejection port. Reinsert the brass locking lever and tighten it against the barrel guide tube to properly lock the barrel guide into action.
4) Place a dry patch of the appropriate size on a jag and insert the rod into the rear opening of the bore guide until it is visible in the solvent port.
5) Apply the cleaner or oil to the cloth and push it through the hole.
6) The solvent port can also be used to apply cleaner to brushes.
7) To remove the bolt guide from the action, loosen and rotate the brass lever up and out of the bolt handle housing. Then, pull the bolt guide and bolt collar out of the chamber and action.
