SOUTH POLE

TRC wanted to create a knife in the spirit of Amundsen, a practical, useful knife, perfect for facing any natural challenge.

KNIFE

Made of V4E steel , the blade has an extreme resistance to wear allowing it to keep the edge and making maintenance easier. Furthermore, although it is not a stainless steel, the presence of elements such as vanadium and chromium increases the resistance to corrosion making it good even in relatively humid environments.
The Drop Point profile then offers precise control of the knife providing a good balance between cutting and piercing ability.

With an extremely thick shank, it has exceptional resistance suitable for the heaviest jobs.

The G10 handle ensures a firm grip in any situation, even the wettest ones.

SHEATH

The package is completed with a Kydex sheath with belt loop.
With automatic retention, you just need to push it into place to lock it without having to use additional systems such as Velcro etc.

A BIT OF HISTORY

When the going gets tough, the tough get going.
But only those who prepare can withstand adverse conditions.
Traveling on skis and dog sleds, and facing death on more than one occasion, Roald Amundsen and his team were the first to reach the South Pole!
People started calling him a hero and drawing inspiration from him.
But he was a practical man, he foresaw difficulties and took every precaution to "meet and avoid them."
Order and organization were the key to his victory.

MAINTENANCE

Every knife that leaves the TRC laboratory is extremely sharp and carefully examined before being packaged.
Thanks to rigorous quality control they are sure that the knife is in impeccable condition so that you can enjoy the blade exactly as it was intended.

Even if the steels used are of the highest quality , all metals tend to corrode over time.
For this reason, some precautions are necessary.
After using the knife in salt water, blood, fruit or other corrosive agents , always clean the blade with fresh water and dry it.
Before putting it away it would be a good idea to apply a thin layer of quality gun oil to the cutting edge.
It should never be cleaned with harsh chemicals as they may damage the finish.
Knives and sheaths should always be clean when not in use.
And remember to keep your knife sharp , so that it can come in handy when you need it.

LIFETIME WARRANTY

The warranty covers any defects in materials or workmanship and applies to both the knife and the sheath.
Of course, it does not include damage caused by accidents, negligence, normal wear and tear over a long period of time.
