THE DART

The Dart is the result of a collaboration between Fox, Doug Marcaida and Lad Mandiola . Inspired by the Karambit, this knife has its origins in the warm Indonesian archipelagos , with influences that extend all the way to Malaysia.
Initially conceived as a working tool and pocket knife , the Karambit made its entrance into the United States in the late 1800s. However, its popularity only exploded in the 1970s, becoming an iconic weapon in martial arts.
Today, the Karambit is recognized for its versatility, defined as a 3-in-1 knife: utility knife, martial knife and self-defense tool.

Unlike traditional Karambits, the Dart features a straight blade , providing the user with a similar experience to using a normal knife . This feature allows for versatile use in a variety of situations, while also providing a less aggressive design .

HANDLE

Made of G10 , the handle features grooves designed to promote ergonomics and ensure comfort and safety when gripping.
At the end is the iconic ring needed for many hand-to-hand combat techniques.

THE DESIGNER

“ My design is based on my knowledge and use of blades and knives related to my martial arts skills and experience as a judge on the reality television show 'Forged In Fire' on the History Channel."

Martial artist and edged weapons expert, Doug Marcaida is a US Air Force veteran.
His passion for martial arts led him to become an internationally respected Eskrima instructor.
A knife designer and judge at Forged In Fire, he continues to train military personnel, law enforcement, and enthusiasts alike.
Thanks to his experience and his unconventional approach, he has become an influential figure in the world of martial arts and self-defense.
