Extrema Ratio S-THIL is a tactical backup knife with a monolithic structure and this means that it is machined from a single piece of 5 mm thick BOHLER N690 steel, developed in collaboration with the designer Thilo Arnd Schiller.

WHY A BACKUP?

Well, first of all you can't say you frequent BackPacco and leave with just one knife! Then eating with a machete is not practical and rarely hygienic :-)

Seriously, a backup blade is useful for tasks where your main blade may not be convenient or suitable, such as preparing a meal or opening a package.

And then it acts as a Backup! So if for some reason your main knife becomes unusable or ends up in the backpack of a fellow adventurer who suddenly had to retreat… You have a great blade to carry on with.

SUPPLIED

With the S-THIL comes a molded nylon sheath and in this way the bulk is really at a minimum.

DESIGN AND ERGONOMICS

We are faced with another Extrema Ratio masterpiece, it feels great in the hand and the pronounced tip leaves no doubt: this S-THIL has a high penetration power.

The recesses obtained on the back and on the belly of the handle provide secure grip points for your fingers and assist us during the most minute jobs.
