The RAO 2 is the result of a collaboration between Extrema Ratio and the 185th Reconnaissance and Target Acquisition Regiment "Folgore" , a special unit of the army.
In June 2006 , the 158th RAO entrusted Extrema Ratio with the development of a special knife based on certain specifications inherent to particular operational activities. The result was the RAO, a survival and work knife with an extremely heavy and robust blade and a locking system that made it equal to a fixed blade .
The RAO 2 is the reinterpretation of this model, which by maintaining the same characteristics and adding new ones results in a natural evolution.
