A beautiful waxed canvas bag to give that vintage touch that never hurts!
Designed to carry a disassembled frame saw , it is thick and has really strong stitching , it is closed with a brass press stud .
Perfect for protecting a 24” hacksaw or similar sized items.
HOW DO I TREAT IT?
Waxed canvas bags and sacks are the perfect combination of durability and timeless style , but knowing how to care for them will ensure they last for years to come !
1- Clean regularly , shake it to remove dirt and debris, use a brush or damp cloth if necessary and avoid harsh detergents!
2 - For more stubborn dirt you can use mild soap and warm water, rubbing gently. Remember to rinse!
3 - If it seems like the wax is running out, refresh it !
You just need to heat the bag up to about 40 - 50° so that the wax starts to melt or the bag looks wet.
All you need is a hair dryer!
4 - Reapply the wax every now and then, this way you will restore the waterproofing and give it new life!
Give more passes to the areas subject to the most wear!
5 - When you are not using it, avoid leaving it in the sun to avoid it discoloring and melting the wax.
A cool, dry place like the pantry is perfect!
You can also put some paper on it to keep the shape.
6 - Even though it is water resistant it is not a wetsuit !
Don't keep it soaked or wet for long periods of time , air dry it, don't put it on the radiator (remember what the hair dryer does?)
If it's too hot and feels wet, keep it out of the way, otherwise the wax might get on whatever you put inside!
7 - Do not overload it to avoid stressing the seams , lay it flat or on a hanger to avoid it from deforming.
With proper care your bag will age to develop a unique patina that will tell the story of your adventures!
